As a former litigation manager of a tier 100 law firm, attorney Lee Hutton is no stranger to high stakes litigation. In 2019, Lee decided to dedicate his legal skills to relationship-oriented, results-focused services for his clientele. Thus, The Hutton Firm, PLLC, morphed into a premium boutique law firm with national and international reach. Lee is the managing partner of The Hutton Firm, PLLC, specializing in trial litigation with emphasis on business litigation, complex litigation, commercial litigation, securities litigation, insurance defense, products liability, construction, employment, environmental, sports and entertainment law.
Lee has tried more than 100 cases, including arbitrations and hearings, with successful results in Minnesota, New York, California and throughout the country. In doing so, Lee has developed a nationwide practice in which he represents a wide range of clients on a variety of complex disputes, winning numerous awards for his trial advocacy and courtroom work in the process. Lee has been named “Attorney of the Year” for his trial litigation work. He has also received several awards and recognition such as Forty Under 40, Up and Coming Attorney, Above the Fold, Distinguished Alumni, and has been named Super Lawyer and Rising Star every year since 2007.
Lee’s clients range from individuals to small businesses to Fortune 500 companies. He represents clients in a variety of complex disputes in such areas as construction, commercial and employment litigation. In addition, Lee has represented professional and amateur athletes including Paralympic and Olympic athletes, celebrities, and artists in contract negotiations. He also advises his clients on brand protection and extortion threats. Lee’s experience also includes sports concussion and “rights of publicity” cases. He offers a deep breadth of understanding of sports by-laws and policies in both professional and college sports. Lee has also been connected to high profile cases such as NFL, NCAA concussion and “name in likeness” cases, the Kardashian divorce, and has represented the interests of high-profile individuals such as Robert Herjavec.
As a frequent guest lecturer, Lee regularly provides media analysis on entertainment, sports, and litigation topics for local, national, and international media. He has appeared on international and national TV, including such outlets as BBC Network, Court TV, Daily Mail, Life & Style Magazine, TMZ, and local news channels such as Fox 9 and Kare 11. Lee can also be found on his radio/tv show “10,000 Takes” with its special segment “Sports in the Courts." He continues to be one of the top legal experts the media consults on high profile cases.
